Principal Investigator

I started as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Evolutionary Biology in 2005, after my PhD with Jan Stenlid at the Swedish Agricultural University and my post-doc at John Taylor's lab at University of California at Berkeley. I achieved docentur (Associate Professorship) in 2006 and from March 2007 I hold a senior research position funded by the Swedish Research Council. My research interest lies in the interface between mycology and evolutionary biology. In particular am interested in using fungi as models to explore general evolutionary questions such as the causes and consequences of symbioses and switches in reproductive mode.
