Research Interests

My thesis focuses on the study of sexual conflict using genomic tools, mainly whole-body microarrays, in Drosophila melanogaster. In general, I am interested in: sexual dimorphism in gene expression, sex-specific selective pressures, some quantitative genetics of the transcriptome, post-mating female responses to mating and their evolution under different mating strategies, sex-specific mtDNA effects.
